HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Donald Trump is coming to the defense of the Miss USA Pageant after the organization was accused of using poor judgment in having this year's contestants pose provocatively for their "glam shot."
The racy pictures in question show each of the 51 contestants posing seductively in lacy lingerie while lounging around in bed, but Trump insists he has "no problem with it."
"We are in a different age. They are a little bit sexy but I'll tell you what – everybody's watching so I have no problems with it," he told The Insider. "If you look at Miss America, it's now off network television and we're doing better than ever so I really have no problem with it."
Miss California Carrie Prejean famously lost her crown when topless photos of her emerged shortly after she competed in last year's Miss USA pageant.
The 59th annual Miss USA competition, to be hosted by celebrity chef Curtis Stone, will be broadcast live by NBC from the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on May 16.
