HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Donny Osmond and his partner Kym Johnson were crowned champions on ABC's Dancing with the Stars Tuesday night, giving the former teen idol some bragging rights in his family.
"I beat Marie!" Osmond said of faring better than his sister on the show during an appearance on Wednesday's Good Morning America. "I am really proud of this. I am the oldest recipient of the Mirror Ball Trophy."
Osmond, 51, beat out runner-up Mya and fan favorite Kelly Osbourne in winning season nine's Mirror Ball trophy.
"We're running on adrenaline," Osmond said. "We were competitors but we're best friends."
Johnson, who won for the first time on the show, said her partner was "the ultimate professional."
"He's just got the best attitude," she said on GMA. "We had so much fun all season."
