HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — The "Grey's Anatomy" family just got a little bigger.
Ellen Pompeo gave birth to a baby girl on Sept. 15 in Los Angeles, American Superstar confirms.
Stella Luna Pompeo Ivery is the first child for Pompeo and her husband, music producer Chris Ivery.
Pompeo, 38, and Ivery, 41, announced the pregnancy in April.
The couple tied the knot in 2007 at New York's City Hall, with Mayor Michael Bloomberg as a witness.
Pompeo, who plays Dr. Meredith Grey on the ABC show, joins her co-star Katherine Heigl in the new mommy category. Heigl, who is currently taking a break from "Grey's," recently adopted a special needs child from Korea.
