HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Despite persistent rumors, and "unusual" attire, Eva Longoria is denying claims that she's pregnant.
The "Desperate Housewives" star, currently on hiatus due to the Hollywood writers' strike, insists that her bulging stomach is simply full of food.
"No pregnancy, not yet," the actress said. "I've been cooking and eating, cooking and eating. I keep telling everyone that I've gained 10 pounds just being on strike."
The 32-year-old actress certainly didn't help matters when she arrived at a Santa Monica press conference for her new movie, "Over Her Dead Body," wrapped in a pink baby blanket, worn over a short, billowing dress.
"I know — If this isn't going to spawn pregnancy rumors, I don't know..." said the laughing star. "I was freezing, so I had to run down to the gift shop, and they didn't have any wraps. I grabbed this and was like, 'It's so soft, but why is it so small?!' And they said, 'It's for a baby.' "
Longoria, who married San Antonio Spurs star Tony Parker in Paris last July, has made no secret of the couple's desires to have a family in the near future.
"We're not really on a time clock, and going, 'Okay, this month, this day," she said. "We're kind of just going, 'We're so happy if we get pregnant, and if we don't we're okay.' We're just letting God decide it."
