HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — The show will go on for the Gosselin kids.
The Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry has granted child-labor permits for Kate Gosselin's 9-year-old twins and 5-year-old sextuplets to appear on her new TLC special, Kate Plus 8, the Philadelphia Enquirer reports.
The permits resolve a dispute over the fact the Gosselins previously violated the state's child labor law by not getting work permits for their children to appear on Jon & Kate Plus Eight, the TLC show that launched the family into the public spotlight. The state agreed to not take legal action as long as producers secured work permits for the new series.
The permits' language includes certain restrictions, mainly around hours on camera and mandatory days off. It also bars the children from being filmed while they are naked or in their bedrooms or bathrooms.
According to CNN, at least 15 percent of the money paid to the Gosselin children must be put into an irrevocable trust account that can only be spent when they turn 18.
Gosselin will revisit her family life without ex-husband Jon in a series of Kate Plus 8 specials, beginning in June.
