HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Heather Mills is being sued by a former nanny who alleges she lost her job after becoming pregnant.
Sara Trumble, 26, is suing the ex-wife of Paul McCartney on the grounds of sex discrimination and unfair dismissal, claiming the former model dismissed her after she gave birth to a baby girl, according to London's The Sun.
Trumble was hired in 2004 to look over the former couple's young daughter, Beatrice. In her suit, she claims Mills brought in a new nanny and relegated her to cleaning duties after she became pregnant, forcing her to quit her post.
On Monday, Trumble told a panel of three judges that she was pressured to get back to work despite having a difficult pregnancy.
"She left a message - it was something about Bea not having a nanny. It was a really rude, horrible message and I was reduced to tears," she said at a hearing held in Ashford.
Trumble also claims she was forced to work overtime without pay, and praise her vain boss on camera for a documentary posted to the Internet.
"There was a cameraman and a monitor man with a microphone and I was told to say how wonderful Heather was," said the disgruntled former employee. "The interview was orchestrated entirely by Heather. I had no choice but to take part."
Trumble is seeking undisclosed financial damages.
In March 2008, the 42-year-old Mills was awarded $48.6 million in her divorce settlement with the former Beatle.
The case was adjourned Monday while the judge considers whether evidence heard during Mills' divorce can be used.
