HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Heidi Montag is mourning the death of her plastic surgeon, Dr. Frank Ryan, who died Monday in a single-car accident.
"I am devastated to hear the news of Dr. Frank Ryan's death," Montag said Tuesday on Twitter. "He was the most amazing person I have ever known. He was an angel and changed my life and the lives of everyone he met. He was the most brilliant talented surgeon who will ever exist. Dr. Frank Ryan changed the world."
She added, "My thoughts and prayers go out to his mother, family, friends, and anyone who was ever blessed enough to meet him. He is in a better place."
According to TMZ, Ryan died after his Jeep veered off Pacific Coast Highway around 4:30 p.m. and landed on a rocky embankment. Moments before the crash, the 50-year-old Beverly Hills plastic surgeon shared the excitement of his day on Twitter.
"After 25 years of driving by, I finally hiked to the top of the giant sand dune on the pch west of malibu," he wrote. "Much harder than it looks! Whew!"
Ryan later posted a photo of his dog, which reportedly survived the crash.
"Border collie jill surveying the view from atop the sand dune," Ryan said in the caption of his final tweet.
Ryan famously performed Montag's 10 plastic surgery procedures in a single day last year. His celebrity clientele also included the likes of Lorenzo Lamas, Vince Neil and Adrianne Curry.
