James Van Der Beek and Kimberly Brook Welcome a Baby Girl

James Van Der Beek, baby, girl, daughter, children, kids, girlfriend, Kimberly Brook, married, wedding, pregnant, pregnancy, pictures, picture, photos, photo, pics, pic, images, image, hot, sexy, latest, new, 2010HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — James Van Der Beek has become a father for the first time!

The 33-year-old actor and his wife, Kimberly Brook, welcomed a baby girl over the weekend. Their daughter, Olivia, was born on Saturday, Van Der Beek gushed on Twitter.

"Had the blessing of becoming a father over the weekend... Couldn't come close to describing this bliss even if I had 140 million characters," he said. "I apologize in advance for any obnoxiously precious new-dad tweets that may follow. I'm under her spell."

The former Dawson's Creek star also joked that he's hoping to get his new baby girl into sports before it's too late.

"If I watch football w/ my daughter now, she'll like the sounds of the NFL & want to watch it w/ me when she's older," he said.

Van Der Beek and Brook tied the knot in August.
