HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Newlyweds Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz probably won't waste any time before they have a baby on the way.
"They have shown the world they are in love," the actor's sister, Mónica Bardem tells Spanish site Hola!, "and it would be only normal and natural to have children."
Earlier this week, Cruz's rep denied a report that the actress is already pregnant.
Cruz, 36, and Bardem, 41, tied the knot in a small, private ceremony earlier this month. Mónica, who runs the popular La Bardemcilla in restaurant in Madrid, said she missed out on the wedding.
"Unfortunately I couldn't go because of work commitments," she said. "But my mother [actress Pilar Bardem] and my brother [actor Carlos Bardem] were there."
Cruz and Bardem first met while filming Jamon, Jamon in 1992. They started dating in 2007, but their relationship wasn't confirmed until Woody Harrelson famously outed them when he presented Bardem with the Montecito Award at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival in January 2008.
