HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Jennifer Aniston says her current boyfriend, John Mayer, was a bit of a mystery man when the two stars first started dating earlier this year.
"Honestly, did not know much about him before I met him," the 39-year-old actress reveals in the January issue of GQ, according to People. "I'd heard ... you know, uh 'Your Body' — that song. But what I can say is that I had no idea what an extraordinary musician he is. And it's just great to sit and be witness to that. It's kind of like, Whoa!"
Aniston and Mayer were rumored to be on the verge of getting engaged when they suddenly split in August. While the pair has since rekindled their relationship, Aniston says don't believe the rumor mill
"I am not having his baby. And I have not popped the question," she tells the magazine.
The former "Friends" star, who poses nude while sporting only a necktie in the provocative GQ cover, once again visits the topic of Angelina Jolie in the interview. In the December issue of Vogue, Aniston commented that Jolie's past behavior was "really uncool," a reference suggesting that the actress had started an on-set romance with Aniston's then-husband Brad Pitt. Aniston's comment came on the heels of Jolie telling the New York Times that she was looking forward to her kids seeing "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" because that was the film in which "their parents fell in love."
"Well, you know, that was definitely a confirmation for me of something that wasn't quite confirmed at the time," Aniston explains to GQ, according to Access Hollywood. "But listen... You sit there and you... No. No daggers through the heart. I laugh. Am I surprised? Well, how do I say this?... Considering the source, nothing surprises me."
Aniston says she does not speak with Jolie, but that she does chat with Pitt on occasion "when there's something to congratulate or celebrate."
"The funny thing is, people don't realize we all go away to The Hamptons on the weekends," Aniston jokes of spending time with Pitt and Jolie and their six children. "That'd be hysterical: I've got Zahara on my hip, and Knox..."
