Jennifer Aniston 'Lucky in Love' With John Mayer?

By Chloe Bunker on November 14, 2008

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Jennifer Aniston doesn't want anyone to feel sorry for her.

While the 39-year-old star has endured several failed relationships since her marriage to Brad Pitt crumbled in 2005, Aniston insists that she's very fortunate when it comes to the love department.

"I've been unbelievably lucky in love," the actress revealed on Thursday's "Oprah Winfrey Show." "It just might not look the way it's supposed to look at this point."

Aniston's optimism could be tied to her rekindled romance with musician John Mayer. The pair split in August, but began stepping out again last month.

Still, it's been a difficult run for Aniston. She's constantly had to deal with the rumors that Pitt's relationship with Angelina Jolie began while the pair was working together on the film "Mr. & Mrs. Smith." Aniston and Pitt were still married at the time and she hints in the December issue of Vogue that Jolie acted inappropriately. When asked about the candid interview and her reference to Jolie's past behavior as "really uncool," Aniston said she was merely responding to the question.

"I basically just answered it as honestly as I could," she told Winfrey.

Aniston insists that she and Pitt have healed their old wounds and she had nothing but kind words for her ex.

"He's done some amazing things in the last couple of years. So I just think he's doing great," she told the host.

Aniston and Pitt will soon square off, with her "Marley and Me" film opening on Christmas day opposite his movie "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button." Aniston told Winfrey she's willing to share the success.

"We all want our movie to do well … Can we have a tie?" she said.
