HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Jennifer Aniston will guest star on the season two premiere of Courteney Cox's ABC hit Cougar Town, the network announced Monday.
Bill Lawrence, the show's executive producer, tells Entertainment Weekly that Aniston will a play shrink named Bonnie who counsels Cox's character, Jules.
"Kind of a get-too-involved-in-her-life-type of therapist," explained Lawrence of the Sept. 22 episode. "Those guys are so close in real life they kind of do that for each other anyway. Bonnie has the life Jules wishes she has."
Aniston and Cox will be making just their second appearance together since Friends went off the air after 10 seasons in 2004. The close pals famously locked lips in 2007 when Aniston appeared on Cox's short-lived FX series Dirt.
Aniston is currently starring alongside Jason Bateman in The Switch. The comedy film bombed at the box office over the weekend, finishing eighth.
