HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — "Friends" has been off the air for five years now, but that hasn't stopped the constant questions posed to Jennifer Aniston about a reunion.
"[Fans] do want to know that all the time," the 40-year-old actress admitted to MTV News at a recent press junket for her new film, "Management."
Aniston is open to the idea of reuniting with her fellow castmembers — Courteney Cox Arquette, David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc — but she believes somebody should be putting the pedal to the metal.
"I don't think [they'll do one]," she said of the possibility for a reunion. "If they do, they should hurry up."
As far as Aniston is concerned, she's cool with letting fans find out if Ross and Rachel are still alive and well. She just doesn't want them to be in rocking chairs!
"Well, it's been off the air, but you also don't want it to be that reunion show or movie where you see — like when the 'Brady Bunch' had a reunion and they were old," she said of her wishes for it to happen now or never.
Aniston is having a bit of a "Friends" flashback in her new movie, which arrives in theaters on May 15. Her co-star is Steve Zahn, who appeared on the hit show's second season as the husband of Phoebe, the role played by Kudrow.
"We've known each other since that 'friendship' show — in Japan it's called 'The Friendship Show,' " quipped Aniston.
While his time on "Friends" was more like a flash, even Zahn has witnessed the show's crazy fans.
Said Zahn: "I still have people walk up to me ... all the time [and say], 'You're Phoebe's husband!' That was three days out of my life!"
