HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Jennifer Love Hewitt won't be heading to the altar after all.
The 29-year-old actress and her fiancé, actor Ross McCall, have split, according to People.
"They broke up over the holidays and have ended their engagement," an insider told the mag on Monday.
Hewitt and McCall, 32, got engaged in November 2007. They met a year earlier when McCall appeared on Hewitt's hit CBS series, "The Ghost Whisperer."
Friends of the couple expressed shock over the breakup.
"They're both really sad about this. Even their friends are surprised; they seemed really happy," the insider told People. "Everyone just wants the best for both of them."
