HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Jennifer Love Hewitt is resurrecting one of her favorite old topics of discussion — those famous Hawaiian bikini photos.
Speaking to People magazine at an Oscar viewing party on Sunday, the actress, who got engaged to actor Ross McCall last November, says, "The thing I think is great is when those pictures were taken, no matter what, I had just been asked to marry, so he loves me just the way I am."
The 29-year-old star says if she makes any changes to her body in the future, she will do so for her health and family and "not for typical reasons."
"If I do work out more it will be for my health, so I can live a long time and we can have kids and be happy together until we are in our 80s," Hewitt said. "It won't be because I am worried about how I look."
The controversy surrounding Hewitt came about when photographers captured her and McCall celebrating their engagement with a vacation in Hawaii. Several tabloid articles followed poking fun at the actress in a bikini, claiming she was overweight.
Hewitt responded to her critics by saying, "To all girls with butts, boobs, hips and a waist, put on a bikini ... put it on and stay strong."
As for her future wedding, the actress, who met McCall on the set of her CBS series "Ghost Whisperer," says it will be very low-key.
"It is going to be small and private and romantic and wonderful," she tells UsMagazine.com.
