NEW YORK — Pump your fists! The cast of Jersey Shore is officially coming back for a third season.
"MTV is pleased that the Jersey Shore cast are returning to Seaside Heights to continue production on season 3," the network said in a statement. "Not only have they become a part of the MTV family, but fans worldwide have fallen in love with them."
Over the weekend, TMZ broke the news that the fist-pumping stars – Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, Paul "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio, Jenni "JWoww" Farley, Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Vinny Guadagnino – went on strike in protest of their existing contracts. While MTV won't comment on the new deals, each of the stars reportedly got a hefty pay raise over their previous contracts at $10,000 per episode.
