BETHESDA, Md. — Jessica Simpson hit a hole-in-one Wednesday in Maryland.
The 28-year-old singer performed a rousing rendition of the National Anthem as part of a special military salute at the pro-am for the AT&T Congressional Tournament. Simpson's presence put course security at high alert with fans flocking to catch a glimpse of the music star.
Of course, Simpson wasn't the only one stirring up the crowd at Congressional Country Club. Her boyfriend, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, played in Wednesday's pro-am with the event's host, Tiger Woods.
"It was fantastic," Romo told PGATour.com of playing with the world's No. 1 golfer. "Anytime you have an opportunity to pick the brain of someone of the ability and talent of a Tiger Woods, it's a great experience. You learn a lot."
Well, not entirely. Romo heard plenty of boos from the crowd ... seeing as he was in rival country.
"They're everywhere," Romo said of the boisterous Redskins fans. "It's pretty insane."
