HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo are putting those break-up rumors to bed in fine fashion.
The couple heated up the town last night, starting with dinner at West Hollywood Italian restaurant Il Sole. Joining them were several pals, including Simpson's former assistant, Cacee Cobb, and her boyfriend, Scrubs' star Donald Faison.
"Jessica had no makeup on and her hair was thrown to the side in a bun," a witness tells Usmagazine.com. "She seemed very comfortable and laid back with Tony and not at all worried about looking good or impressing him."
As the night continued, the Dallas Cowboys quarterback showed his enjoyment for holding onto something other than a football.
"Tony couldn't stop touching Jessica," the source adds.
Following dinner, the couple and friends hit up the Key Club for the rockin' Metal Skool night. Seated in the VIP section under the protection of a bodyguard, they continued their affectionate ways.
Jessica and Tony, both 27 years old, later hopped onstage to rock out with the band, and the football star even showed off his own singing skills at one point.
"He was singing directly to her — and she was on cloud nine," a witness tells Us.
Simpson's legal team recently fired off a heated letter to OK! magazine, demanding a retraction to an article that claimed Romo ended the relationship after his team's playoff loss because Simpson was high-maintenance. The letter referred to the article as a "smear campaign."
The article in question appears in OK!'s Feb. 4 issue, headlined "Jessica Dumped!"
