HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Jessica Simpson made an appearance on CBS' "The Early Show" Wednesday morning, performing her new single "Pray Out Loud" and addressing her weight-gain controversy head-on.
Simpson, who taped her spot in Nashville so she could help announce the nominees for the 44th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, said all is well in her life these days.
"Honestly, I am right where I am supposed to be and I am so very happy," said Simpson, who is currently on tour with the Rascal Flatts.
When "Early Show" co-anchor Maggie Rodriguez mentioned the recent scrutiny the singer faced following an appearance at the 99.9 Kiss Country 24th Annual Chili Cook-off, Simpson shrugged off the controversy surrounding her weight.
"Everything's really great," said Simpson, who's currently dating Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. "It's all about keeping the faith. That's why I pray out loud."
