HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — The laughs have ended once again for Jimmy Kimmel and Sarah Silverman.
The couple has broken up for a second time in the last year, a source tells Us Weekly.
"Sarah initiated the split this time," the source told the mag. "He's bummed."
"He's really blue — very down," added another source. "Seems like it's over for good this time. He's sad because he just bought a new place and now has nobody to share it with."
Kimmel and Silverman dated for five years before splitting for the first time last July. However, a few months later they rekindled their romance and were back together again.
The pair first started dating after Kimmel hired Silverman to work on the Comedy Central show "Crank Yankers."
Kimmel was previously married, but he divorced in 2002. He and his ex-wife have two children together, son Kevin and daughter Katie.
In January 2008, Silverman appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," where she showed off her video "I'm F***ing Matt Damon," in which she and Damon, a frequent target of Kimmel's jokes, sang a duet about having an affair behind the host's back.
Kimmel soon got revenge with a video of his own titled "I'm F***ing Ben Affleck." In addition to Affleck, the video featured a number of celebrity contributors, with some scenes spoofing 1985's "We Are the World." Among the stars who appeared in the video were Brad Pitt, Don Cheadle, Cameron Diaz, Robin Williams, Harrison Ford, Dominic Monaghan, Benji and Joel Madden, Lance Bass, Macy Gray, Josh Groban, Huey Lewis, Perry Farrell, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Pete Wentz, Meat Loaf, Rebecca Romijn, Christina Applegate and the Jonas Brothers.
