HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Jimmy Kimmel has a new girlfriend and he didn't have to look very far.
The 41-year-old TV host is currently dating Molly McNearney, a longtime writer on his "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" staff, his rep confirmed to People.
McNearney, 31, first joined the show as an assistant to the executive producer in 2003. Three years later, she transitioned into writing for the program and currently holds the title of co-head writer.
McNearney is Kimmel's first serious girlfriend since he split with his longtime squeeze Sarah Silverman in March. The news also comes on the heels of David Letterman's extortion scandal in which the "Late Show" host admitted to being targeted over his relationships with staff members. However, an insider tells People that Kimmel and McNearney "keep things professional" in the workplace.
"After Jimmy and Sarah broke up, Molly and Jimmy both found themselves single, and they clicked," said the source. "They're really happy together."
