HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — J.J. Abrams is about to shake things up.
The superstar producer is teaming up with David Seltzer, the writer behind "The Omen," for a feature film revolving around an earthquake disaster, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Details for the story remain under tight wraps, but the trade publication says the untitled project will not be a remake of the 1974 film "Earthquake."
Abrams, whose television hits include "Felicity," "Alias" and "Lost," is currently finishing up work on next year's "Star Trek" movie, following the theater release of "Cloverfield" earlier this year.
Seltzer, whose 1976 thriller starred Gregory Peck, has a few upcoming projects, including the Warner Bros. feature "Strangers on a Train."
