HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — John Daly's dramatic weight loss could mean another gig for Matt Damon if the colorful PGA star gets his wish.
Daly showed off his new slimmed-down figure during a press conference Tuesday as he preps for the Australian PGA. The 43-year-old golfer joked with reporters about making a movie that would include his weight loss, among other things. When asked if he had thought about who might play him now that he's lost 115 pounds, Daly said he already had somebody in mind.
"I just saw Matt Damon, how he swung a golf club, and I thought if I ever made a movie, I want him to be me," answered Daly. "The tough part is who would play me at 290 pounds. Now Kevin James, he's my bud, but he'd be good."
Daly joked that putting together a screen adaption of his life might be a bigger casting challenge for reasons other than his weight.
"The problem is who is going to play all the ex-wives?" quipped Daly, who has been married four times.
"I don't know if there are that many actresses around who could be that mean," he added.
