HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — The CBS family is about to grow.
Julie Chen of "The Early Show" has announced that she is pregnant and expecting her first child with her husband, CBS boss Les Moonves.
The 39-year-old morning show host shared the news with viewers Tuesday.
"So it wasn't a big Sunday at the buffet table," joked Chen. "I'm starting to show now! And my due date is Oct. 4. So, fingers crossed."
While she'll be far along in her pregnancy, Chen said she also plans to return as host of "Big Brother."
"I e-mailed my boss over there this weekend and I said, 'Don't worry, I can still do the show!" " she quipped.
Chen and Moonves tied the knot in 2004 on the CEO's 56th birthday.
This will the fourth child for Moonves, who has three children — Adam, Michael and Sara — with his former wife of 26 years, Nancy Wiesenfeld.
