Kevin Nealon to Play Ashley Tisdale's Dad in 'Upstairs' Movie

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Kevin Nealon has signed on to star alongside Ashley Tisdale in the new comedy movie "They Came From Upstairs."

Nealon will play Tisdale's dad, Stuart Pearson, in the film, which revolves around a group of teens who team up to defend their Maine vacation home from an alien invasion upstairs. Gillian Vigman was previously cast as the mom.

The Fox film will be produced by Barry Josephson and directed by John Schultz.

The 54-year-old former "Saturday Night Live" star has several upcoming features, including "Remarkable Power" and "You Don't Mess With the Zohan."

He also plays Doug Wilson on Showtime's hit series "Weeds," which is preparing to shoot its fourth season after an interim agreement was reached recently between series producer Lionsgate TV and the Writers Guild of America.
