HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Khloe Kardashian's stay at the Lynwood, Calif. jail for women was a brief one.
The 24-year-old, who stars with her family on the E! reality series "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," entered the jail Friday at 10:36 a.m. and was released at 1:29 p.m, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department.
Kardashian benefitted from an early-release policy for nonviolent offenders due to overcrowding, much like Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie previously did at the same facility.
Surrounded by loved ones, Kardashian turned herself into authorities at the Van Nuys courthouse Friday morning at 8:45 a.m.
"You never want this to happen to your child," her stepfather, Bruce Jenner, told E! News.
Kardashian was sentenced to jail after violating the terms of her probation, stemming from a March 2007 DUI arrest, in which she received a three-year probation sentence.
The clothing boutique co-owner was sentenced to 30 days in jail on July 3 after she failed to complete roadside cleanup duty and enroll in an alcohol education class.
Earlier this week, Kim Kardashian said she hopes people learn a valuable lesson from her younger sister.
"Khloe is ready and willing to serve out her sentence, no matter how long and where, and have this resolved," she wrote on her official Web site.
"I urge people to learn from the mistakes of others," added the 27-year-old. "Please drink responsibly and it's never acceptable to drink and drive!"
