DULUTH, Ga. — Kid Rock is returning to the scene of the crime so to speak, but this time he has the best of intentions.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the 37-year-old singer will return today to the same Georgia Waffle House where he was arrested for battery last October following a fight. This time, Kid Rock will greet fans and sign autographs for charity.
"For a while now, we've been working with Kid Rock's management to try and turn a negative into a positive," Waffle House rep, Pat Warner, told the newspaper. "We're hoping to raise some money for a worthwhile charity."
All proceeds from the event, which is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m., will benefit Nicholas House, a homeless shelter for families in DeKalb County.
Kid Rock, who has pleaded not guilty to the charges, is scheduled to perform later tonight at Atlanta's Gwinnet Arena.
