HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Kim Cattrall is returning to HBO in another sex-themed series.
The "Sex and the City" actress has signed on to star in "Sensitive Skin," which revolves around a middle-aged wife and mother living in New York City who rediscovers her sexuality, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The awakening leads to her character questioning her place in the world and the choices she's made in her life, the Reporter says.
Cattrall, 51, will also serve as an executive producer on the show, which will be penned by Emmy winners Mitchell Burgess and Robin Green of "The Sopranos."
The new project, which is an adaption of a British series by the same name, is part of a development deal that Cattrall signed when she agreed to the "Sex and the City" feature, which opened in theaters last weekend.
The series will be Cattrall's second post "Sex and the City" project for the cable network. She also starred in and was an executive producer for the 2005 documentary, "Kim Cattrall: Sexual Intelligence."
Cattrall won a Golden Globe for her portrayal of Samantha on "Sex and the City," which ran for six seasons on HBO from 1998-2004.
The "Sex and the City" movie topped the weekend box office with record-breaking ticket sales of $55.7 million — the most ever made by an R-rated comedy.
