According to the Post, the couple have been attempting to have a baby for some time. The story cites an unnamed source as confirming the baby news.

The couple first started dating last February and their romance quickly blossomed.

The 32-year-old Simmons has two daughters, Ming Lee, 8, and Aoki Lee, 5, from her previous marriage to Phat Farm and Def Jam founder Russell Simmons.

The 43-year-old Hounsou was born in Cotonou, Benin. He immigrated to Paris with his brother when he was 13, living on the streets at one time. He was later discovered by fashion designer Thierry Mugler, who turned him into a model.
