LOS ANGELES — Kristen Stewart is making a bold prediction for all those Twilighters eagerly anticipating the upcoming "Twilight" sequel "New Moon."
"[Making 'Twilight'] was much more of a fight," the 19-year-old actress, who stars as Bella in the hit franchise, tells Entertainment Weekly. "We needed to make something commercial but stay true to the book. We didn't have enough money. It was all very impulsive, and that's what I love about that movie…But I think 'New Moon' is gonna be even better."
In addition to making bold predictions, Stewart also played a part in making sure that Taylor Lautner returned in the role of her on-screen bestie Jacob.
"It's completely understandable why they wanted to make sure he was right," she explains of the casting debate. "He was so young, 16, so I got it. But I knew he had [to do] it. Just because of how I felt around him."
Lautner dove into his return vigorously as he trained hard and beefed up for his increased presence in "New Moon."
"My body fat got so low that we actually needed to increase it a little bit," says the 17-year-old heartthrob. "My trainer would be like, 'Go have a huge milk shake just so I can get a thousand calories into your body.' "
In the end, Stewart says, her on-screen chemistry with Lautner is more than magical in "New Moon," which arrives in theaters on Nov. 20.
"We have that relationship," she says. "It's lamely cute."
