HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Lake Bell made quite the impression while shooting the pilot for HBO's upcoming comedy series, "How to Make it in America."
The 30-year-old actress has since been cast in a lead female role, where she'll star alongside Bryan Greenberg and Victor Rasuk, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The new series revolves around twenty-something friends Ben (Greenberg) and Cam (Rasuk), who live in New York City and hope to achieve the American dream.
Bell's first big break came in 2004 when she made her debut as Sally Heep on "The Practice." Her character went on to appear on the series offshoot, "Boston Legal," where she was a regular cast member until leaving the show in 2005.
She is also known for playing Alicia Silverstone's wisecracking friend Victoria in NBC's short-lived series, "Miss Match," as well as the lead role on the sci-fi show "Surface," which was cancelled in 2006 after 15 episodes.
