HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Landon Donovan can get back to focusing on kicks taking place on the soccer field.
"I will not be a dad any time soon, which is good news for me," the soccer star told E! News at Wednesday night's ESPY Awards in Los Angeles, addressing a recent report that a British woman might be pregnant with his love child.
After being informed of the pregnancy during the World Cup, Donovan told Sports Illustrated that would take full responsibility if the accusation proved true.
Donovan, 28, and his wife, actress Bianca Kajlich, announced their separation last July, but they have never divorced. They got married at the Bacara Resort in Santa Barbara, Calif. on New Year's Eve in 2006.
Donovan scored the lone goal when the U.S. was eliminated from the World Cup last month in a 2-1 loss to Ghana. His three goals during the 2010 event raised his career total in the event to five, which is the all-time record.
