HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Samantha Burke, a Florida model and aspiring actress, has been identified as the pregnant mother of Jude Law's newest baby.
"Ms. Burke can confirm that she did in fact have a relationship with Mr. Law and that she has informed Mr. Law that she is expecting his child later this fall," Burke's attorney tells TMZ.com. "Since informing Mr. Law of the pregnancy, he has been nothing but responsive and supportive of Ms. Burke and the pregnancy."
The 36-year-old actor confirmed the pregnancy on Wednesday, however he did not reveal the identity of the mother. In a statement, Law simply said she was a former girlfriend.
"Jude Law can confirm that, following a relationship last year, he has been advised that he is to be the father of a child due in the fall of this year," Law's rep said in a statement. "Mr. Law is no longer in a relationship with the individual concerned but he intends to be a fully supportive part of the child's life. This is an entirely private matter and no other statements will be made."
The new baby will the fourth for Law, who has three children with hi
s ex-wife Sadie Frost. The former couple split in 2003 after six years of marriage.
Up next for Law is an appearance on Broadway in "Hamlet," followed by the Christmas Day opening of "Sherlock Holmes," a film co-starring Robert Downey Jr.
