Leighton Meester and Sebastian Stan Not Engaged

Leighton MeesterHOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Leighton Meester and Sebastian Stan may be hot and heavy, but the two stars are not engaged.

Rumors about the couple heading for the altar began swirling after The New York Post reported they had announced plans to marry on their "secret" Facebook pages. However, Stan's rep quickly dismissed the report.

"He is not engaged," said the 25-year-old actor's rep in a statement to Access Hollywood.

The 22-year-old Leighton met Stan last year when he made two guest appearances on her hit CW show "Gossip Girl." The actress is said to be smitten for her beau and perhaps picturing her wedding day in the not too distant future.

"I think this is the first time she really sees a future with someone," a friend of Meester's told Us Weekly in October.
