HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — For the second straight month, Lindsay Lohan has taken to her MySpace blog to dispel rumors that she's broken up with her girlfriend Samantha Ronson.
"Little piece of TRUE information: We did NOT break up!" the 22-year-old actress wrote Monday evening.
Lohan's response followed tabloid reports claiming the pair had split after a number of recent public fights — the biggest being a showdown on New Year's Eve while they were hosting a party at Miami's Mansion nightclub. A source told the New York Post the fight began inside the club before spilling out into an alley. It then continued when they returned to their hotel room.
"They were punching each other — it was bad," a witness said of the exchange, which reportedly led to a trashed hotel room. "And they were doing this in front of all of us. It was scary."
Hours later, and still fighting, Lohan and Ronson boarded a flight together to Los Angeles.
A rep for Lohan confirmed that the couple had exchanged in a quarrel.
"There was an argument — I don't know the details — but they left for LA together and it's fine," the "Mean Girl" star's rep told the Post.
Still, Lohan, who also denied reports of a split in December, urged tabloids to get their act together.
"Get your stories straight please," she wrote. "It's really annoying to have all of your friends emailing you saying, i saw, i read, etc... NOT TRUE."
