HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Lindsay Lohan, Eddie Murphy and Adam Sandler were among the list of stars recognized for their film work, although not the type of recognition they desire.
The trio were among the nominations announced for the 28th annual Golden Raspberry awards, which celebrate the worst in filmmaking. Lohan took "honors" for her work in the film "I Know Who Killed Me," with Murphy being recognized for "Norbit" and Sandler for "I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry."
In "I Know Who Killed Me," the 21-year-old Lohan plays two characters, a stripper and an abducted small-town girl.
"I Know Who Killed Me is the most fabulously brainless movie since Showgirls," Razzie founder John Wilson told the Associated Press. "By the end of it, you still don't know what happened. Are they twins or aren't they? Did she imagine it? Can I please have my hour and 50 minutes back?"
Murphy garnered five nods for what Wilson described as a "latex-laden, nearly laugh-free 'comedy.' " In the movie, Murphy plays Norbit, as well as his adopted Asian father and hugely obese girlfriend.
"I Know Who Killed Me" picked up a total of nine Razzie nominations, with "Norbit" and "I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry," following close behind with eight apiece. Each was nominated in the worst film category, which also included "Bratz" and "Daddy Day Camp," which starred Oscar winner Cuba Gooding Jr.
Razzie "winners" will be announced Feb. 23, the day before the Oscars.
