LONDON — Madonna has agreed to pay her ex-husband, Guy Ritchie, up to $92 million in a record-breaking divorce settlement, The Associated Press reports.
The "Material Girl's" rep, Liz Rosenberg, tells AP that Madonna, 50, has agreed to fork over between $76 million to $92 million as part of their divorce agreement.
Rosenberg said that Richie, 40, will retain both the couple's country home — Ashcombe House in western England — as well their west London pub — the Punchbowl.
"I'd assume it's one of the largest payouts ever in a divorce settlement," said Rosenberg.
The settlement is thought to be nearly twice the size of the well-publicized agreement reached between former Beatle Paul McCartney and Heather Mills.
While the financial side has been finalized, Rosenberg told AP that details are still being ironed out with regards to the couple's two children, Rocco, 8, and David Banda, 3, who was adopted from Malawi in 2006.
Madonna also has a 12-year-old daughter, Lourdes, from a previous relationship with personal trainer Carlos Leon.
Madonna and Ritchie were married on Dec. 22, 2000 at Skibo Castle in the Scottish Highlands. They announced their plans to split in October.
"I'm sad about my personal life but I feel very blessed and very lucky that I have the opportunity to do what I do in my professional life," Madonna told AP shortly after their split was announced.
