HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Mario Lopez and girlfriend Courtney Mazza are inviting fans into their household as they await the arrival of their first child.
The couple will star in a new VH1 reality series centered around the arrival of their baby, the network announced Wednesday.
The still untitled baby series, comprised of eight half-hour episodes, will premiere this fall.
"Our audience has grown up with Mario. They have watched him go from a kid in a fictional high school to a man who has succeeded in many different facets in the TV business. We're thrilled that we get to be a part of his next transition into fatherhood," said Jeff Olde, Executive Vice President Original Programming and Production. "This new series fits perfectly with VH1's programming because Mario's upcoming life changes reflect the same family milestones that many of our viewers are experiencing for the first time."
Lopez, 36, and Mazza, 28, met in 2008 while working on Broadway in the show A Chorus Line. They announced the pregnancy back in March.
