HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — A glance back at a 2007 Details magazine interview about Brody Jenner sheds further light on the history behind the ongoing Mary-Kate Olsen-Spencer Pratt feud.
Long before Olsen's blistering comments last Thursday on the "Late Show with David Letterman," it was Pratt boasting about how he once put $50,000 in his pocket by selling a photograph of Olsen drinking at a party back when the two attended high school together.
During last week's appearance to promote her new film, "The Wackness," Olsen didn't hide her dislike for the evil star of MTV's "The Hills."
"He used to play on the soccer team for my high school," she told the host.
When Letterman asked if she thought Pratt was "wormy," Olsen nodded and said, "yeah."
"He does not have a good temper," she said. "He walked out of a few games. He would walk off the field. He was like, 'Me or the coach!' "
Letterman said he was surprised by the soccer story because Pratt looked like the kind of guy who had never broken a sweat in his life.
"Oh, my God — that brings up stories!" the 22-year-old actress said. "I don't know if I should talk about it."
Olsen then laughed and referenced her flick, "The Wackness is a great film!"
When Letterman asked if she and Pratt were friends back in the day, Olsen simply replied, "No."
The funnyman then asked how a guy can be so "oily," leading Olsen to an uncomfortable laugh before she changed the subject.
When reached by Us Weekly magazine after the show, Pratt took a few more shots of his own.
"I don't really get why she'd use my name to get press for her little indie film that no one's going to see," he sneered. "She should probably focus more on not getting dressed in the dark than me."
"I know I've made it in Hollywood when a famous troll is talking about me on Letterman," he added. "I forgive her, though. She's had to go through life as the less-cute twin, which must be tough."
