HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Masiela Lusha, who starred on "The George Lopez Show," is launching her own production company.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lusha's shop, which has been named Illuminary Pictures, already has four feature films and a television project in the works.
The company has also tabbed Nick LoPiccolo to serve as president of marketing.
The 22-year-old Lusha, who portrayed Lopez's daughter Carmen for five seasons on the ABC sitcom, is expected to star in three of the films, as well as the television project, according to the trade publication.
The TV project, a comedy titled "Sweet Caroline," will reunite Lusha with Jim Hope, who worked on "George Lopez" and is handling writing duties. The series will revolve around an executive who shacks up with his only daughter (Lusha) on the heels of his third divorce.
Lusha, who was born in Albania, was one of five tabbed "Most Likely to Succeed" by Teen Magazine in 2000.
