LOS ANGELES — Miley Cyrus is not suffering from the swine flu as her former Hannah Montana co-star Cody Linley suggested on camera.
On Friday, Cyrus appeared on the Billy Bush Show, where she disclosed that she never had H1N1. The 16-year-old star said she's simply been battling a really bad case of strep throat.
"I'm much better now, thank goodness," she told Bush.
Linley said Cyrus was suffering from the swine flu virus during an interview with Reelz Channel to promote his new movie, Forget Me Not. The actor said the illness was the reason Cyrus ran off the stage during a Sept. 29 concert in Salt Lake City, Utah.
"She really didn't understand what was happening but she just got really sick and she had to run off stage because things were just, like, on her heart too heavy," he said.
"Then the next day she told me she had the swine flu," added Linley.
Prior to quitting Twitter earlier this month, Cyrus had told her fans that she had come down with strep throat just two weeks into her world tour.
"Woke up with a sore throat =[ Why am I always sick?" she tweeted. "Strep is the worst thing ever."
