NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Miranda Lambert is off to a flying start, picking up five nominations in the first round of nominees announced Tuesday for the 44th annual CMA Awards.
Lambert's "The House That Built Me" and "White Liar" are both up for single and music video of the year, while "White Liar" is up for song of the year. She will be competing against fiancé Blake Shelton, whose "Hillbilly Bone" scored nominations for single of the year and music video of the year.
Lady Antebellum is also off to a strong start after receiving nods for vocal group of the year, single of the year, song of the year and music video of the year for "Need You Now."
Lambert will be joined by Dierks Bentley in revealing the final nominees Wednesday on ABC's Good Morning America.
