Molly Ringwald Gives Birth to Twins

The 41-year-old actress gave birth Friday to twin babies, her rep confirmed Monday to People.

Ringwald and her husband, Panio Gianopoulos, welcomed a boy and a girl. They have yet to reveal any further details, including the names of the twins.

Ringwald and Gianopoulos, who married in 2007, are already proud parents to a 5-year-old daughter named Mathilda Ereni.

Ringwald rose to fame during the 1980s with starring roles in several John Hughes films, including "Sixteen Candles," "The Breakfast Club" and "Pretty in Pink."

She currently stars on the ABC Family series "The Secret Life of the American Teenager."
