HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Ne-Yo will soon be singing lullabies!
The R&B crooner's girlfriend, actress Monyetta Shaw, is pregnant with the couple's first child, Ne-Yo has revealed to Ebony.
"I am 30 and I do have my first child on the way, and I'm very, very, very excited about that," he told the mag.
Ne-Yo said he recently traveled home to Atlanta to be with Shaw for their baby's first ultrasound. The singer joked that the child, due in January, may be "stubborn" since the couple was unable to determine the baby's sex because it was curled up in a ball.
"It's a New Year's baby and I'm just in a really good place right now," said the father-to-be.
Last month, the Grammy Award-winning Def Jam recording artist released his new single, "Beautiful Monster." It's the first track off Ne-Yo's forthcoming album, Libra Scale, which drops Sept. 21.
