HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Get ready for some more dating drama!
ABC is moving forward with a spinoff series in which former contestants on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette will live together in a Big Brother-style house, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The series, titled Bachelor Pad, will bring back 20 memorable contestants from the previous 13 editions of the Bachelor and five seasons of the Bachelorette in the first all-star edition of the franchise. The concept was driven by the relationships that have developed among the former contestants.
"All these people have been friends, been enemies, they date each other and bring all this great backstory to the show," executive producer Martin Hilton told the trade publication. "It seemed like there was an opportunity to combine that world with a new competitive reality show."
The program will feature various challenges, with some inspired by incidents from past seasons. Each episode will conclude with contestants getting booted from the house.
The cast has yet to be revealed, but Hilton said top players and former winners are already on board. They'll be greeted by a familiar face, as Bachelor and Bachelorette host Chris Harrison has signed on to reign over the drama.
Bachelor Pad is expected to debut this summer after the latest round of The Bachelorette.
