HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — After taking a peek at the Eclipse script, New Moon director Chris Weitz is assuring fans they'll be plenty of "steamy" action when the third installment of the Twilight franchise hits theaters this summer.
"I'm looking forward to the sleeping bag scene, I gotta say," Weitz told People, referring to a tent scene with Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Jacob (Taylor Lautner). "That's going to be very steamy."
Weitz, who is not helming the next installment, also said he is anxious to watch Edward's (Robert Pattinson) parents, played by Elizabeth Reaser and Peter Facinelli, take on more intense action.
"I have a special interest in seeing Peter and Elizabeth tear people's heads off," he said with a laugh. "Knowing them, and how kind of kooky and delightful they are, I'm going to find seeing them being ultra-violent very interesting indeed."
As for Sunday's Academy Awards, Weitz said he'll be pulling hard for Twilight series star Anna Kendrick, who received a Best Supporting Actress nod for her role in George Clooney's Up in the Air.
"I voted for her of course, because she's my homie," he assured.
