Nicole Richie and Joel Madden Now Engaged

Joel Madden, Nicole Richie, engaged, engagement, wedding, pictures, picture, photos, photo, pics, pic, images, image, hot, sexy, latest, newHOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have been keeping quite the secret — the longtime couple is planning to get married!

"Yep. i'm engaged. Very happy," wrote Madden on Twitter Monday night. "Yeah we've been engaged for a while so your all kind of late on that. But Thanks for the hooplah all the same."

The Good Charlotte rocker also expressed thanks that the couple's engagement was kept under tight wraps.

"Thats why i love my family and friends. None of them are sources," he tweeted. "All good tight lipped people who let us enjoy it! Thanks everybody."

Richie, 28, and Madden, 30, began dating in December 2006. They are already proud parents to daughter Harlow, 2, and son Sparrow, 5 months.

Sources say the couple is planning a summer wedding.
