HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Nicole Richie and fiancé Joel Madden are now proud parents of a baby girl.
The couple's first child together weighed 6 lbs. 7 oz. and was delivered Friday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. She has been named Harlow Winter Kate Madden.
"The beautiful healthy baby girl left the hospital with her ecstatic parents," Richie's rep revealed to People magazine.
"The Simple Life" star reportedly entered the hospital through a secret entrance on Thursday night. Madden was later seen in the delivery area of the Cedars-Sinai, where he was overheard saying, "She's going to start pushing soon."
Madden's brother and fellow Good Charlotte bandmember Benji was present, as was Richie's adopted father Lionel Richie, mom Brenda, and half-sister Sophia.
Earlier this week, Madden's brother Josh revealed that Richie was due to give birth any day.
"The baby is due sometime in the next week," he said. "That's all we know. We don't know what gender it is. We don't know any names. I'm being completely honest, I swear!"
Richie's best friend, Paris Hilton, recently discussed the couple's excitement.
"Nicole can't wait to become a mother, although she is a little scared," said the 26-year-old Hilton, Nicole's co-star on "The Simple Life." "They are both really excited and they are great together. I know they will make wonderful parents."
The 26-year-old Richie first announced her pregnancy in July, telling Good Morning America's Diane Sawyer: "I would really want to be someone my child would look up to."
