HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - The big day is fast approaching for Nicole Richie, who is expected to give birth to her first child in the next week.
The "Simple Life" star and her fiancé Joel Madden, the lead singer of Good Charlotte, are expecting to go into delivery any day now according to Joel's older brother, Josh.
"The baby is due sometime in the next week," Josh says. "That's all we know. We don't know what gender it is. We don't know any names. I'm being completely honest, I swear!"
Nicole and Joel apparently missed out on the Madden family Christmas because Nicole was banned from flying as she is heavily pregnant.
"Christmas was awesome," reveals Josh. "Nicole couldn't fly, but we were all there. My sister Sarah's baby was born on the 20th, so it was right before the festive period."
Nicole's best friend, Paris Hilton, recently revealed the couple were extremely "excited" about becoming parents.
"Nicole can't wait to become a mother, although she is a little scared," says 26-year-old Paris, Nicole's co-star on "The Simple Life." "They are both really excited and they are great together. I know they will make wonderful parents."
