HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Nicole Richie is speaking out on her upcoming bad-girl role on the NBC spy series "Chuck."
The 26-year-old actress is guest starring as a spiteful girl who went to school with Chuck's (Zachary Levi) CIA handler, Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski), eventually having to confront her at their 10-year high school reunion.
"I had a stunt double, but they said I was allowed to do as much as I wanted — except for serious things," Richie tells Entertainment Weekly of the experience.
As for her character on the episode, which will air in October, Richie says, "She was a cheerleader. Kind of that bitchy mean girl."
Richie, who welcomed her first baby in January — daughter Harlow with boyfriend Joel Madden — earned high praises from the show's top dog.
"She was really into the action," the series' executive producer Josh Schwartz told People. "She was like, 'how much a** am I allowed to kick, and when can I start kicking it?' She came really prepared."
"She was just really sweet. Everyone really enjoyed working with her," he added.
The fantasy series returns for its second season on Sept. 29.
